Ra-Horakhty, "Ra-Horus of the Two Horizons", combined the sun god Ra with the falcon god Horus and was usually shown as a falcon-headed man crowned with the sun disk. He represented the sun at its rising and setting.
San el-Hagar is the site of ancient Tanis in the northeastern Delta, capital of Egypt in the 21st and 22nd Dynasties, where many monuments of earlier pharaohs were brought and reused and where intact royal tombs were found in 1939.
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, Cairo, opened in 2021 and traces Egyptian civilization from prehistory to the present; it is also home to the royal mummies moved from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square.
