Inscribed "To the most Noble the Marquis of Lansdown. This plate of the Chesterfield packet, Capt. Robt. Lea Jones rescuing the crew of a ship that was sinking, is by permission dedicated by his Lordship's obliged and obt. servant John Jeffryes". Pocock exhibited the original painting of which this print is after in the Royal Academy in 1794.
