A starboard-side view of the cutter yacht winning the Royal Thames Yacht Club First Ocean Match at Harwich on June 4, 1864. 21 competitors entered the race that was from Lower Hope to Harwich. Behind her is a crowded harbor full of dressed ships and race spectators in small rowboats cheering the yacht's victory.

The yacht was also notable for being altered to 59 tons in the manner of the "Americans"-- with a long hollow bow and a short after-body of considerable fullness-- during a time when many people were against a change in yacht design.
