A "new" map of Africa based off of Abraham Ortelius' map published in Antwerp in 1570, with privilege, in an unidentified atlas. Verso is blank and without descriptive text unlike the same map published by Ortelius. The title in a grand strapwork cartouche/plaque notes how the Greeks called Africa Lybia. Two ships are in battle in the lower left corner of the map, and unproportionally large sea monsters and fish are depicted in the Atlantic Ocean. The regions of the eastern coast of Brazil and west Asia are also included.
