Cetus seu Monstrum Marinum, Eridanus, Apparatus Sculptoris, Machina electrica, Apparatus Chemicus
black and white star atlas that is part of Bode's Uranographia sive Astrorum Descriptio..., one of the largest celestial atlas ever produced in its time. The chart depicts Cetus, a Sea Monster or whale, that in Greek mythology, almost attacked Andromeda who was chained to a rock before Perseus saved her. Note the large number of stars and constellations, more than in any previous atlas.
