A copperplate engraving from the book titled, 'Plan de plusieurs b̢timens de mer avec leurs proportions dedi̩ Son Altesse Serenissime Monseigneur Louis Auguste de Bourbon' (Marseille: c. 1720) by the French Captain Henri Sbonski de Passebon. The folio-sized book was a collection of 17 naval architecture prints. Translated, the title literally means, "Barque going downwind." The small sailing vessel is depicted with its port-broadside facing the viewer and towing the ship's boat, which is partly visible in the right foreground. A volcano fumes in the background on the right.
