Coat of arms, probably used as a bookplate, with a shield bearing three whale heads, surrounded by swirls of foliage and surmounted by a whale head atop a knight's helmet. Below is printed "John Whaley." Ink inscription on margin of mounting identifies this as a "Very rare "punning" Whaling plate".
