A copperplate engraved folio from the 1608/1612 Italian edition (300 print run) of the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, by Abraham Ortelius. The maps depict regions of Italy: Apulia, oriented towards the south, and Calabria. The cartographic source for the map of Apulia was created by Jacobo Gastaldi in 1567 and published by Fernando Bertelli. The cartographic source for the map of Calabria was created by Prospero Parisio, engraved by Natale Bonifacio, and published in Rome in 1589.

Italian text is on the verso (folio #98). The text is the beginning of the chapter on "La Puglia" and "La Calabria." There is a decorated initial.
