The so-called Parthian Monument of Ephesus was a large altar or memorial decorated with a long relief frieze celebrating the Roman victory over the Parthians in 161-166 CE under the co-emperor Lucius Verus, together with scenes of the imperial family, including the adoption of Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus by Antoninus Pius.
Many of the best-preserved panels were taken to Vienna in the early 20th century and are displayed in the Ephesos Museum there.
