Colored engraving of a beached P. Griseus. The head is large, obtuse and somewhat rounded; the upper jaw is several inches larger than the lower; the dorsal fin commences about the middle of the back, and is elevated and pointed; the tail is quite large. There are no teeth in the upper jaw and only eight in the lower. It has some resemblance to the Deductor or Ca'ing Whale.
