A port broadside view of the iron schooner yacht 'Titania,' in a race. The 'Titania' was a relatively new iron boat built upon Mr. Scott Russell's wave principle, which allegedly offered the least resistance to water when rapidly passing through it. Despite having the reputation of being an extremely fast boat, she lost in a race against the yacht 'America' owned by Commodore Stevens.
