Engraving of a Roman or Greek seal with an image of a male figure with a shield seated on the back of a merman; the two have their arms around each other and look in one another's eyes. Above and below the representation of the seal are printed "Tab. XXX" and "NEREIS ET TRITON". This is surrounded by a large, ornate border printed from a separate block with red ink, or with ink that has discolored to red. At the base of this border are the artist attributions.
