A hand-colored map of ancient Sicily dedicated to Gabriele Lancillotto Castello, Prince of Torremuzza who was also known as Selinute Drogonteo (1727-1794). Castello dedicated his life to the study of antiquities in Sicily. At the top left is a title cartouche that is composed of a banner stretched out by two lion-esque animals with large breasts from which a liquid flows. At the top center of the title cartouche is a grotesque face ornament. At the bottom left is a cartouche with the scale ("Tavola delle Miglia"). A sawfish swims in the sea under the title cartouche.
