Owned by James Gordon Bennett, Jr., the yacht, "Henrietta," is depicted sailing across the Atlantic in a race for which she won in an unprecedented time of 13 days and 22 hours.
Inscription: "To J. G. Bennett Junr. Esq this print of this Yacht the winner of the Great Atlantic Race is respectfully dedictaed by his most obedient Servant, Wm Foster"
"Left New-York 11th December and arrived off Cowes, 25th December 1866 in the unprecedented time of 13 days 22 hours & 46 minutes. Built by Mr. Steers, New-York."
