A hand-colored map of the island of Rugia (R_gen, Germany) from The English Atlas by Moses Pitt (1681-1683) published using Johannes Janssonius van Waesberge plates (Jan Jansson's son-in-law). The map includes useful maritime navigational obstacles such as the sandbanks or reefs surrounding several small islands in the lower right side of the map. An elaborate title cartouche on a plinth and with a coat of arms is in the bottom left corner. The title indicates that the map is based off of Eilhard Lubin's designs.
