Uncolored copperplate engraving depicting a statue in Rome of Neptune reposing by a sea monster whose mouth is a fountain. Neptune is bearded and wrapped in drapery; he holds a shell in one hand. There is a sketchily incised background of a wall and greenery. There is a monogram "FB" (Perrier went by the name of "Bourguignon"). This print is from "Icones et Segmenta Nobil. Signorum et Statuarum quae Romae extant", a collection of 100 copper etchings depicting statues in the famous gardens of Rome.
