Different regions have been highlighted by color wash outlines. There are decorative ships and whales on the sea, along with a scale and a coat of arms on a cartouche. The map is from the book "The Tribes of Israel" by Thomas Fuller; to finance the maps in the book, Fuller found a patron for each map. To recognize his contribution, Fuller had his coat of arms placed on the map with a dedication.
