Engraving, etching and stipple on cream wove (handmade) paper. Marks from text faintly visible on the paper indicate that it was part of a book. The engraving depicts a large fish standing on end and a Jonah, depicted with Indian features and garments and with four arms in the style of Hindu deities, rising out of its mouth. Each hand holds a different item: a ring or coil of string, an open book, a sword, and a large conch. Jonah is wearing a crown. The name of the engraver ("P. Maverick sc.") is given in the bottom right, below the image. The text immediately below the image originally read "Plate II. Dagon [in italics] Derketos, Jonah [in italics]." However, the "Plate II." has been scratched away.
