A map of Catalonia from the Mercator-Hondius Atlas, Atlas sive cosmographiae meditationes de fabrica mundi et fabrica figura published in 1628. The map is highly detailed, pictorially depicting the topography, the locations of cities, and the Mediterranean Sea. Strapwork cartouches in the lower right and left corners of the map display the title and the scale in "Scala leucarum" and "Miliaria Germanica." The map includes a compas rose, sea monsters, and a ship.
French descriptive text on verso (232v and 229r) that begins the chpater, "Cataloigne plus Specialement."
