A woodcut broadside advertising an event reenacting the catching of whales in the Bay of Kamunoura. In the center of the bay, an adult and young whale have been herded by nets closer to the shore where a group of men with harpoons await them. Traditionally, once the whale was captured and killed, its meat and byproducts would be distributed within the village to make fans, fertilizer, soap, and etc.

The print is labelled throughout the image with the text alongside brackets or enclosed in rectangles. A block of Japanese text is sectioned off on the right side of the print. Above the text is a flying dragon-bird.
