This head of a small limestone statue was uncovered in the tomb of Queen Meresankh III. The figure was wearing a cloak, and there were traces of black paint of the wig. The statue may have held specific religious significance to the tomb and possibly represented a scribe or servant to Meresankh in the afterlife.
