This photograph was taken by the original archaeologists who uncovered the Tomb of Queen Meresankh from the sand that had filled the entrance for several thousands of years.

The dig season was almost over, and the archaeologists has just uncovered the entrance while doing some survey work when they discovered the opening to this tomb. Before anything inside the tomb could deteriorate from opening the tomb fully, the archaeologists took the camera to the tomb and took this photo.
