Apulian Red Figure Hydria

A red figure polychrome hydria, attributed to the Painter of Copenhagen and his circle, dated ca. 335 BCE.

The hydria (water jug) depicts a naiskos (temple) scene of two women with attendants. The naiskos is in the Ionic order with acanthus akroteria and a pediment of scrolling vines and a central disc.
