Spears were among the most important weapons of the Egyptian army, used by infantry alongside bows, axes and the curved khopesh sword. Early spearheads were made of flint and copper, and by the New Kingdom bronze heads were standard.
This display brings together metal spearheads, along with other weapons, from the collections of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
