Copper tool: adze blade

This copper tool, an adze blade, was uncovered in fragments in the Tomb of Queen Meresankh III. The object had been damaged by the tomb robbers that stole many of the offerings and coffins in the tomb.

There is evidence that the object had been broken by tomb robbers in modern times.
