Excavations of a 20th Dynasty Tomb Complex in the Theban Necropolis
It is unique to the area because all of the tombs and burials date from Ancient Egypt, 20th Dynasty.
There are 6 major tombs in the tomb complex and many smaller burials. Many of the tombs were created by and for the tomb builders themselves, and the mummified bodies in the tombs are of the tomb builders.
This is a multiyear excavation project directed by Fathy Yaseen since 2017 to excavate the tomb and understand its owners and construction.
